Homemade Red Lobster-Style Biscuits Recipes

You can make a homemade version of those delicious Red Lobster Biscuits without the mix. The key to their flavor is the combination of cheddar cheese, garlic, and a hint of buttery goodness.

Here's a simple recipe to recreate them from scratch, below this recipe is another recipe using the premade Red Lobster-Style Biscuit mix with additional ingredients:

Homemade Red Lobster-Style Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups self-rising flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder (optional)

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

¾ cup cold buttermilk (or regular milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice)

½ cup unsalted butter (melted)

¼ cup melted butter (for brushing on top after baking)

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon dried parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder (if using), and salt. Stir to mix well.

3. Add the Cheese:
Add the shredded cheddar cheese into the flour mixture, tossing it around to coat the cheese in flour. This helps keep the cheese from sinking to the bottom while baking.

4. Add Buttermilk and Butter:
Pour in the cold buttermilk and ½ cup of melted butter. Mix everything together until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the dough; it should be slightly lumpy.

5. Shape the Biscuits:
Using a spoon or your hands, drop spoonfuls of dough (about 2 tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

6. Bake the Biscuits:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the biscuits have puffed up.

7. Brush with Butter:
As soon as the biscuits come out of the oven, brush them with the remaining ¼ cup of melted butter. For extra flavor, you can sprinkle some dried parsley on top.

8. Serve:
Let the biscuits cool slightly, and serve warm. They're best when they're fresh, fluffy, and buttery!

These homemade Red Lobster-style biscuits are perfect for a savory treat at home, and they're super easy to make. Enjoy them with your favorite meal or just as a snack!
